8/31/25 Overdose Awareness Event

Wow! We cannot even begin to express our gratitude to everyone who came out to Butterfly Wellness Park this past Sunday for our Overdose Awareness Event.

If you passed by the park this past week, you may have thought, "What in the world are all of those purple flags for?" Well dear reader, each flag represents a death from overdose in Ohio in 2024. Each representing a life that was lost.

Our incredible guest speakers did not hesitate to move us with their stories and personal testimonies.

Guests were invited to write a prayer to or for a loved one. We placed all of the well wishes into a box and joined together to pray over them. After a meditative walk around the park's labyrinth we joined hands, sending all of the prayers off.

The love was felt all around, and that is all thanks to our wonderful volunteers, staff, board, residents, treatment providers, and the incredible support from our beautiful community.

We thank you so much for celebrating life with us!

If you couldn't make it to this event, be sure to visit our booth at the Brown County Fair September 22-27!

Thank you as always,

On Our Way Home, Inc. Family
